Alberto Arcangeli is a Italian financial manager at day but a all-one-man-band at night. He intercepts the spirit from the past (60ies) and shares with us his channelings and flair loaded interpretations of what some call the best decade for music.
His second release 'Dreamsongs' sees him perform some original material as "Oil Crush" and "Dream Song" which are sincere, melodic, laid-back pop/folk tunes in the old spirit. You can feel the affection and the honesty through the mellow/dreamy vocals that mix with straight-forward guitar strings and semi-infectious melodies.
For the most part, 'Dreamsongs' is loaded with covers (5 out of 9) from the pasts great songs like "Sunny Afternoon" (the Kinks), "This Will Be Out Year" (The Zombies) and "Kind Woman" (Buffalo Springfield) which show of Arcangeli's many facets of multi-instrumentalism, vocal abilities and production techniques.
Arcangeli has captured a good record with many colors. He's certainly one to watch in the future!
