The band
MANIAC DU JOUR is an italian rock band born in 2013, formed by Paride Lanciani (guitars, vocals), Fabio Anghilante (bass and keyboards) and) Alain Nes (drums). In addition, the musician Giorgio Olivero played the bass and collaborated in the composition of the debut album.
Experience
All the members of MANIAC DU JOUR, dedicated his life to play in various bands and projects, playing tons of gigs. Giorgio at the same time began aikido martial art teacher. Alain is a fanatic motorbike. Fabio works as photographer beside musician. Paride Lanciani is a guitarist and recording engineer owner of Oxygen Recording Studios located in north of Italy. With KASH he published 4 albums, three of them produced with Steve Albini. He is the leader too in a second lucky project named INSTRUMENTAL QUARTER, with two albums released in USA by Sickroom Records ltd Chicago USA, and one for Stiff Slack Records, Nagoya, JAPAN.
During his long career, Paride plaid with lot of big names of the indie national and international music scene as: SHELLAC, DANDY WHAROL, CHECK ENGINE, MARCK SHIPPY, BEAR CLAW, THE CONFORMIST, SHANNON WRIGHT, and many others.
He also played twice at CMJ Festival – New York City, BBQ Festival in Chicago, and at ATP Festival UK 2012, curated by SHELLAC OF NORTH AMERICA.
Projects
The MANIAC du JOUR debut album is titled “ Electrical brain activity”.
Music and lyrics are written by Paride Lanciani.
In the spring of 2014 the band produced at Oxygen studios the 9 songs included on the album, on analog recording system.
The songs are inspired by daily events, international policies, people and life experiences that somehow have marked the history and soul of the group.
The record will be out on March 2015 under the Chicago based label, Sickroom Records, ltd.
MANIAC du JOUR will be soon on tour to promote the new release.
