The Wanax Project is a Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band from Italy. The project was born in Ciamprisco (CE) thanks to Michele (Liz B. Blake), who found Sofien "Monk" Douri to the microphone to join Mario Marcello and after much research found stability on March 2011 with Paolo Passaretti on lead guitar and Mirko Zito (Keyb) on bass. Together they have managed to blend different musical styles
that fits their personalities, they have managed to establish a very special feeling, experimenting with new sounds and structuring a gig with discursive sound in its entirety, with the intent to engage and drag the listener in a musical dimension that can remove him from his surroundings.
2012 begins with the release of two self-produced tracks, Go together and Rhobar, and after finding the positive opinions during their gigs in Caserta, the Wanax Project have returned in the studio. On June 14th, in just two weeks of work, they leave out "Until The Beginning" a work always self-produced , which aims to spread the music of Wanax Project throughout the underground scene.
The name was inspired by a greek archaism “Wanax”, and was chosen to emphasize the will to shape the music to convey our emotions through the sound of our instruments.
The band is currently in operation and soon there will be new live dates.

The Wanax Project è un gruppo Hard Rock/Heavy Metal nato in Ciamprisco (CE) fondato da Michele (Liz B. Blake) che ha ritrovato Sofien "Monk" Douri al microfono, si uniscono a Mario Marcello e dopo tante ricerche trovano una formazione stabile nel Marzo 2011 con Paolo Passaretti alla chitarra solista e Mirko Zito (Keyb) al basso, insieme hanno saputo fondere gli stili musicali divergenti che li caratterizzano, riuscendo ad instaurare un feeling molto particolare sperimentando nuove sonorità e strutturando un live sonoricamente discorsivo in ogni sua parte, con l’intento di coinvolgere e trascinare chi ascolta, in una dimensione musicale in grado di allontanarlo da ciò che lo circonda.
Il 2012 inizia con l’uscita di due tracce autoprodotte , Go ToGetHer e Rhobar, e dopo aver riscontrato i pareri positivi durante i loro live nel casertano, i Wanax Project sono tornati in studio ed il 14 Giugno, in sole due settimane di lavoro, esce “Until The Beginning” un lavoro sempre autoprodotto, che si propone di diffondere la musica dei Wanax Project in tutta la scena dell’underground.
Il nome Wanax prende spunto da un arcaismo greco, ed stato scelto per sottolineare la volontà di plasmare la musica per poter trasmettere le nostre emozioni attraverso il suono dei nostri strumenti.
La band è attualmente in attività e presto ci saranno nuove date live.
