Di primo acchito, vengono subito alla mente il termine "punk-funk" e la frase "saltare sul carro del vincitore". Speravo che ulteriori ascolti di "Things To Do Today" dei torinesi Disco Drive mi facessero scatenassero pensieri più positivi, ma purtroppo non è stato così... È quasi impossibile giudicare questo disco senza finire per paragonarlo con The Rapture, The Liars, !!!, ecc. A me piacciono un sacco le canzoni dance rock tutte spigoli ed angoli, ma "Grow Up!" e "It's A Long Way To The Top" sono, al massimo, noiose e prevedibili versioni di canzoni migliori dello stesso genere. Ogni residua credibilità è fatta a pezzi dal video di "'It's a long way to the top" che cerca di essere fresco e moderno senza riuscirvi. // Miss Coco (Traduzione di RS)

At first blush, the words 'punk-funk' and the phrase 'jumping on the bandwagon' immediately came to mind. I was hoping a further listen to 'Things to do today' by the Torinese band Disco Drive would provoke more positive thoughts, but no such luck. It is almost impossible to judge this record without the obvious comparisons to The Rapture, The Liars, !!! etc. I am all for jagged dance rock numbers, but 'Grow Up!' and 'It's A Long Way To The Top' are, at best, ho-hum (means boring) predictable versions of better songs in the genre. Any remaining credibility is crushed by the video for 'It's a long way to the top' which tries to be fresh and modern without success.
