DESCRIZIONE
ITA: Let The Sky Fall è un brano ispirato dal film American Psycho, il protagonista è incapace di frenare i propri impulsi, è consumato dalla sua ossessione, davanti alle sue vittime, in momenti di pura follia, è accecato dall'estasi. Una volta che l'euforia svanisce però si sente vuoto, solo, e tutti i risentimenti gli ri ritorcono contro, tormentandolo e divorandolo. Il protagonista è perso in un infinito ripetersi di eventi, la sua è una dipendenza che lo porta a compiere costantemente gli stessi errori e poi a pentirsene profondamente. I ritornelli esprimono questa disperazione, il protagonista urla al cielo di cadere assieme a lui e alla sua disperazione, sperando pregando che il mondo crolli assieme a lui.
Musicalmente la canzone trae ispirazione dai vecchi film western, con chitarre tremolanti, organi e trombe squillanti, e si sviluppa attorno al contrasto strofa ritornello, dove la strofa è estremamente delicata in modo quasi ossessivo a rappresentare gli stati di pazzia del protagonista, mentre i ritornelli esplodono nella disperazione con un drastico cambio sia a livello strumentale che a livello di timbrica vocale.
ENG: Let The Sky Fall is a song inspired by the movie American Psycho, the protagonist is unable to stop consumed by obsession, ecstatic in his darkest impulses. Once the euphoria fades he’s hollow and filled with regrets. He’s in an endless loop of falling for his addiction and then regretting his actions. Desperate he calls for the sky to fall with him and the whole world.
Musically the songs takes inspiration from old western movies, using the dramatic effect of tremolo guitars, organs and screaming trumpets.
