Biografia ANDREA BAZZECHI
Andrea Bazzechi is an Italian singer-songwriter guitarist and former photographer. In 2015 he started collaborating with the classically trained guitarist Andrea Checcucci and the percussionist Doudonho Santos Eljero. After a short period spent playing covers they began working out originals written by Andrea Bazzechi. Although his music is mainly influenced by Anglo-American pop artists such as Leitch Donovan, Bruce Cockburn R.E.M, Mumford & Sons and the Mexican band Manà some Italian traditional folk blend is still evident and contributes to give a distinguished character to the sound. In 2017 the trio releases two singles “Gypsies”, a folk-Irish flavor ballad which builds upon a true news report story and “Crazy World” a country rock tune with a subtle and more direct message about the rejection for the hectic work schedules which seize our lives making us to lose sight of true goals. At the end of 2017 Andrea Bazzechi starts working on a broader project which involves other musicians. The idea is to make an album of original songs which blends acoustic instrument and electric guitar parts to create a sound with a strong groove rich of melodic countours. On that basis the collaboration with the bass player and arranger Carlo Bonamico takes place. The other musicians who join the project are Michele Zappatini (Drums), Doudonho Santos Eljero (Percussios), Hildegard Kuen (Viola), Riccardo Centazzo (Accordeon) and Giacomo Guatteri (Guitars). The album which include 9 new songs written by Andrea Bazzechi plus a remix of the two previous singles Gypsies and Crazy World is going to be published in November 2018 with the title “ Life is about colours”.
In a recent interview with an American radio station Andrea Bazzechi said: Experience is a project born out of my strong desire to write music and original songs and interact with other musician. It was thank to Carlo Bonamico who credited my work and arranged most of the stuff present in this album that eventually the dream became true.
Generally speaking most of the lyrics have to do with life because there are stories about lives of people or personal insights on what life is or seems to be.
Some are sort of fragments or snapshots which are put together in a random sequence to form an incoherent patchwork of emotions, passions, hot thrills or a mixed powerful cocktail of memories, impressions “ Life is about colors” title does not refer to the phisycal world but mainly to the potential we have as individuals gifted of free choice to paint our lives according to our own pallet…… Anyway there are so many good reasons to talk about life: First, do you know a more interesting subject? Secondly is something which hits a little close to everybody, Third, life is always so intricate and full of ups and downs … you never get bored… if you just keep on getting involved.
