Il brano è nato pensando a tutte quelle volte in cui in qualche modo ho dovuto gareggiare per ricevere amore e dimostrare di valere o lottare per qualcuno che non è nemmeno sicuro di volermi. Mi è successo, e non sono più disposta ad accettarlo. Non gareggio per arrivare seconda, io gioco per vincere. E se non sei sicuro di me, se non sono certa che vincerò, allora mi ritiro, ancora prima che la gara inizi e sparino il via.
