He starts studying saxophone at the age of 7. Together with classical music at the Conservatory “Nino Rota” in Monopoli, he begins to study jazz (“Siena Jazz” International Courses) and electronic music.
He attends then the course of “Electronics and Music Computing Techncian” and one of “Acusmatiq” with the French composer Jonathan Prager. He took workshops with Gianluigi Trovesi, Bob Mover, Bruno Tommaso, Franco Degrassi, Marcello Piras, Armando Trovajoli, R. Zegna, T. Lama.
He played in several chamber music groups, saxophon quartets, saxophon ensembles, in Noci Big Band, Orchestra Mediterranea del Sud Adriatico, Orchestra Laboratorio di Bruno Tommaso, Gianni Lenoci sextet, Contemporary Music Orchestra “Labirinto”, Apluvia Small Orchestra, etc.
He is one of the founder members of “Laboratorio Musicale Suono C”, together with Donato Console, Walter Di Serio e Giuseppe Tria, with whom he recorded two albums: the first one self-produced and the second one (Fobetore) produced by the Sicilian record label “Snowdonia Records” and distributed by Audioglobe.
He plays in “Noci Saxophone Pool” with Vittorino Curci and Francesco Massaro. He composed music for short films, theatrical plays, advertisment, video installations, art exhibitions and poetry readings. One of his compositions was chosen by the record label “Aleatory Records” from Chicago for the “Global Butterfly Music Effect Project”.
He had the honour of sharing the stage with Peter Brötzmann, Bob Ostertag, Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Guy-Frank Pellerin, Gianluigi Trovesi, Giancarlo Schiaffini, Bob Mover, Carlo Actis Dato, Nicola Pisani, Pino Minafra, Felice Mezzina, Antonello Salis, Roberto Ottaviano, Paolo Fresu, Bruno Tommaso, Claudio Fasoli, Vincenzo Deluci, Francesco Angiuli and many others. He has a many years' experience in music didactics in various music schools of the territory.
