[EN] KINO was born in 1977 in Turin, Italy. He is an Italian arranger, composer, producer, programmer and sound engineer, who has collaborated for the most prominent Italian alternative bands, such as Africa Unite, Bit Reduce, Bluvertigo, Cerchi nel Grano, Mao, Monaci del Surf, Persiana Jones, Santabarba, Soerba, Subsonica, The Sabaudians and Vinicio Capossela. On October 1st 2014, day of his b-day, KINO publishes the debut record “OK RAGA!”, available in free download on the web-site www.kino1977.com, which is accompanied by the music video for the single “Questa È Una Canzone Da”.

È un arrangiatore, compositore, ingegnere del suono, produttore e programmatore italiano, che ha collaborato nel corso degli anni con le principali band alternative italiane, come Africa Unite, Bit Reduce, Bluvertigo, Cerchi nel Grano, Mao, Monaci del Surf, Persiana Jones, Santabarba, Soerba, Subsonica, The Sabaudians e Vinicio Capossela. Il 1 ottobre 2014, giorno del suo compleanno, KINO pubblica il disco d'esordio “OK RAGA!”, distribuito gratuitamente sul sito internet www.kino1977.com, che viene accompagnato dal videoclip del singolo “Questa È Una Canzone Da”.

[EN] «I live in the public houses in Settimo Torinese, close to Turin. I have always lived here. On my bank account I have more or less 10 euros. I haven’t made this record for righteous dudes. For the recording, I used a 58 mic, a two-channels soundcard, a plastic MacBook and a broken acoustic guitar. In the middle of the production, settled some debts, through the first 100 euros available, I bought a Fender made in Kazakistan. In order to not weigh down the machine, I had to made a lot of ping pong mixes in an old school way. I made them directly on the L3, no way for Stems (and I didn’t go too far, otherwise something similar to Skrillex would have come up). In writing the songs, putting a big effort and determination, I tried to be as authentic as possible, without imitating anyone, without any bluff. And all I said so far I am sure is the strength of this work. Enjoy the music. End».
[IT] «Vivo alle case Gescal di Settimo Torinese. Vivo qui da sempre. Sul mio conto corrente avrò 10 euro. Questo disco non l’ho fatto per i giusti. Ho registrato il disco utilizzando un microfono 58, una scheda audio a due canali, un MacBook di plastica ed una chitarra acustica sfondata. A metá lavorazione, saldati un po’ di debiti, con i primi 100 euro disponibili, ho comprato una Fender made in Kazakistan. Per non appesantire la macchina ho dovuto fare alla vecchia molti ping pong mix. I mix li ho fatti direttamente sull’L3, altro che Stems (e non ho esagerato, altrimenti facevo Skrillex). Nella scrittura dei brani, con grande sforzo e determinazione, ho cercato di essere il più autentico che potevo, senza imitare e senza bluff. Ed é in tutto ciò che ho detto fin qui che mi son convinto stia la forza di questo lavoro. Buon ascolto. Fine».
