We started a betrayal,

loud, in the brackish air.
Binocular vortex
Unmeasurable,
Empyrean was Thy husband,
and Abyss, he was Thy bride.
Once we understood the whole pace
Animals knew Thy name:
jarring as loud as a child,
Time was a Father.
Were the dovish roses
stretching in the dew
despite an afternoon sun?
Going back inside
Suddenly a gate:
Phantoms of ageless wars
we fought like heroes.
Phantoms of ageless wars.
So it happened, Locusts came
from across the sea
late at night.
No white sheets, nor bible belt,
seagull's majesty
blowing trumpets.
What a celebration of waste
mirrored in the window pane
of the rooms prepared for those
Locust Devotee!
They climbed walls to see.
