Biografia Molly Sanderson
Molly Sanderson are an italian alternative rock band from Ivrea (Piedmont, northern Italy) formed in 2006 from the union of the punk rock band One Way and Ramu Rossi, vocalist from Venus Quinted. Their name was inspired by a particular hybrid viola. The sound of their first release "UNDER THE CINEMA" (2006), was the result of an amalgam of different musical backgrounds, combining rock, punk and grunge influences. In subsequent years, the group alternated gigs to the composition of new songs, ending up to "LUMI EP" (2007). The rough sound of "Under the Cinema" was united to more sophisticated solutions, (dis)orienting their sound to an alternative rock in the whole sense of the term. In 2008 they released their third ep, entitled "RAIN". The current line-up, composed by Raffaele "Ramu" Rossi (vocals), Alberto Mazzola (guitar), Veronica Perego (bass), Davide Tuveri (guitar) and Alberto Cordera (drums). In April 2010 was released their last studio work, titled "MOLLY SANDERSON EP". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I Molly Sanderson si formano ad Ivrea nella primavera 2006 dall'unione dei One Way con Ramu Rossi (cantante dei Venus Quinted). Il loro nome trae ispirazione da una particolare viola ibrida di colore nero. Il sound del loro primo ep "UNDER THE CINEMA" (2006), risultato dell'amalgama di differenti background musicali, unisce al suo interno sonorità rock, punk e grunge. Negli anni successivi il gruppo alterna l'attività live alla composizione di nuovo materiale, sfociante nell'ep autoprodotto del 2007 dal titolo "LUMI". Al sound ruvido del primo ep viene unita la ricerca di soluzioni sonore più ricercate, (dis)orientando la sonorità complessiva verso un rock alternativo, a tratti progressive. Il 2008 vede l'uscita del loro terzo ep, intitolato "RAIN". L'attuale line-up è composta da Raffaele Rossi (voce), Alberto Mazzola (chitarra), Veronica Perego (basso), Davide Tuveri (chitarra) ed Alberto Cordera (batteria). Nell'aprile 2010 esce il loro ultimo lavoro intitolato "MOLLY SANDERSON EP".
