Un altro brano nato in sala prove... questo ha il dono della semplicità ed è veramente venuto fuori in pochi minuti e, al di là delle armonizzazioni strumentali, è rimasto pressoché invariato nella sua melodia e struttura... crediamo che averlo scelto per il video sia stata quasi una scelta obbligata vista la sua immediata fruibilità...
Il video di “Above the Clouds”, che ha preceduto l’uscita dell’album, è stato realizzato dal piacentino Niccolò Savinelli partendo da una idea della band. Nonostante il testo del brano parli di un momento di crisi e di una reazione che porta ad un distacco/evasione dalla realtà quotidiana, il video segue volutamente una strada diversa... il tema comune rimane l’elevazione “al di sopra delle nuvole”... La trama suggerisce un rito di iniziazione e trasformazione dei componenti del gruppo ad opera della splendida protagonista (Cezàra Potlog). Da segnalare la presenza di “attori” già noti (Davide “Topino” Costantini ed Enrico “Kurma” Curotti) che ricollegano la trama del video a quello pubblicato tre anni fa (“Let It Go” per la regia di Teemu Nikki)... chi se lo ricorda riuscirà a ricollegare in qualche modo gli eventi... in realtà questo video è un prequel del precedente. Le scene sono state girate a Nibbiano sia sul greto del Tidone che in locali messi gentilmente a disposizione dall’associazione Confluenze, oltre che in altre location.
