we sweep your leaves from the floor
in silence
you feel like a bare tree
vulnerable
naked
sick
you look beautiful I say
even more than usual
it is the light of the bravest
how hard it is to resist
my love
but we resist
as we are lucky enough to exist
we go through this together
in sickness and in health
we stand by each other
