Inside my eyes
When I see it
They just light up on fire
All of these questions they keep asking me

It reminds me of third grade
When somebody told me
“What if there’s a god and he knows you don’t
Worship him”

Sour mornings
They’re the worst
When you keep on dreaming
Long after you have woken up
And so you look for words
In someone else’s songs
And you consume yourself in self-loathing
With your hands open in the vague hope
Something is there ready to fall
From the sky
A piece of a falling star
Does it work with fireflies?
