This is an open letter to every mayor of every city
While we are perfectly aware tourists are a reliable source of incomes
This deregulation leads only to the benefits of the few at the expense of the many
And who are the many, if not us?
And who is us, if not you too?
We need a sustainable way of living together What cities need are bakeries, groceries, bookstores and social services along with a way of welcoming all the people who wants to come. What cities need are resident-oriented politics, not only narrow minded money-centered views. And if we’re not here, who do you think is going to come to visit?
Cities need citizens as much as tourists. You need locals.
You need US.
