Mushroom Cloud Ecstasy is a psych-stoner track inspired by the timeless theme of war and by humanity’s ruthless thirst for power. The sick need to prevail – fulfilled by bloodshed - is portrayed in the song as an addiction to an adrenaline-boosting drug that clouds the mind in the pursuit of a distorted, insane ecstasy. An addiction that, if left untreated, could eventually lead to a nuclear holocaust.
