In un rituale solitario, tra le ultime illusioni che lo trattengono, comincia a sentire che la sua identità è legata anche al passato più recente e al presente, in cui, nonostante il rifiuto e la ribellione, alcune immagini non vanno cambiate, perché osservandole, anche se da lontano, sono comunque belle, come i ricordi. In questa calma si definisce la volontà del domani.
