In this song you can feel the Diplomatics turn towards the new wave and punk-funk.
The basic riff is schizophrenic (similar to Gang of Four style) with sustained speed and an atmosphere of tension.
The lyric talks about a daring escape from the police ... in the streets of Chicago, the speed, the police shooting, the bullets grazing the car, the danger, the feeling that at any moment everything could end and the last thought to those who you will never see again.
In this hypothetical escape, the Diplomatics metaphorically treat fear and anxiety with r'n'r attitude.
