"My Sun" è il singolo/video anticipatore dell’album d’esordio dei Double Syd, duo psycho pop/rock della provincia di Ravenna, che verrà pubblicato da Urtovox nei primi mesi del 2023.
Il brano rappresenta quasi una richiesta per un passaggio trascendentale verso il sole, il mare, lo spazio, ed il video sottolinea questa esigenza che si sublima in una passeggiata onirica culminante nell’incontro con l’astronauta X, guida interstellare che introduce la band all’esplorazione del cosmo.

Su un tessuto melodico orientaleggiante, fluttuante, avvolto nel suono etereo della chitarra acustica, dell'organo e di un basso ipnotico, irrompe un ritornello più elettrico e distorto, creando una sorta di ponte sonoro tra la psichedelia degli anni'60 e l'alternative degli anni'90.
Le referenze e le passioni sono quelle generaliste per i Beatles e Pink Floyd del periodo Barrettiano per arrivare a parallelismi con artisti quali Beta Band e i The Auters, a cui si aggiunge l’amore per il brit pop anni 90 nelle sue icone di riferimento (Oasis&Blur).
