DESCRIZIONE

“On my Paper” è il secondo singolo dei Double Syd che anticipa l’album d’esordio in uscita il prossimo 14 Aprile 2023.
É un brano chiaramente ispirato alla corrente Brit-pop; immerso in un’atmosfera immaginifica e a tratti malinconica, è un invito ad elevare il proprio lato creativo, ludico e giocoso a guida, mentre la carta funge da metafora del tempo passato leggendo e dimenticando. La melodia obliquamente british della strofa conduce ad un ritornello sognante contrappuntato dai fiati; un assolo di chitarra tipicamente anni'90 suggella la conclusione del brano.

Le referenze e le passioni sono quelle generaliste per i Beatles e Pink Floyd del periodo Barrettiano per arrivare a parallelismi con artisti quali Beta Band e i The Auters, a cui si aggiunge l’amore per il brit pop anni 90 nelle sue icone di riferimento (Oasis&Blur).
