DESCRIZIONE
Certainty is an indie rock ballad that talks about a very common and recurrent feeling, one that comes in cycles at different stages of life. Often, we perceive that everybody else around pretends to have all possible answers on our own life. Certainty speaks about the need to get away from the noise of intrusive voices around, from people who often push forward pressing advice just to impose their partial views or worse just to trigger insecurity and negative thinking. It’s all about putting these voices into context to stop hearing their annoying buzz. Most of the time, the voices around are based on presumptuous judgments and lots of suppositions. Certainty, it’s about the courage to start disregarding the opinions of others. Certainty is about finding the strength to tune back to oneself and take courageous decisions. It’s about getting our own life’s trajectories back in hands, under control, at the cost of taking risks, maybe making some mistakes or even get hurt. There is an asked and answered at the end of the refrain about this: “are you sure that doctors have good pills to cure melancholy? I am not sure”. The right strength is not chemical or induced by others, it must come from within. Ultimately, this what freedom is. Freedom comes with self-awareness, it’s conquered when one takes the right amount of time to look inside and starts to follow inner instincts, feelings, visions and ambitions.
