Sitting on a bench of a station at north-west,
looking at the trains like they're slowly walking past...
Immediately my mind runs through mountain hills,
through skies and clouds, beaches and seas,
just like the places in which I used to rest myself...
Now I'm back in here, I'm looking at the bench,
I see pen writings and engravings of which it's drenched...
Immediately my mind runs through years and time,
wondering how an "I love you" felt like
back to when my world was a song as a kid...
But these are just desires hanging in the wire...
These are just desires, they've not a reason why...
Strolling around the station, I'm seeing lots of eyes,
fitted out with lips and noses and lives that seem so wise...
Immediately my mind runs through signs and souls,
through each person's each pain thresholds,
through each scar each past can mark on us...
Walking again as I move in the subway downstairs,
rising up on a platform, fresh wind ruffles my hair...
Immediately my mind runs through sensations of
having you right by my left side, but
I'll resort to another journey till I be fed up...
But these are just desires hanging in the wire...
These are just desires, they've not a reason why...
If any of my desires would become real tonight,
I'd ask you in my desire to show up first tonight...
Up again on a train, I'm going elsewhere far,
station after station, imagining where you are...
Immediately my mind runs through history,
through bags of stuff, forgotten scenes
of what I thought I'd casually left behind...
And here comes insecurities: will I ever be ready?
Will I ever learn how to be alone in times of need?
If it's true as they say: "The best lessons
are always learnt in the worst times",
I just let go of my fears, and see what'll happen next...
Far away, far away... Once again, far away...
Till I don't get to you, I will be far away...
Far away from my place, over time, over space...
Far away as a need that cannot be replaced
without you...
