This EP was entirely written, recorded, mixed, and mastered at home by Giobbe, using budget-friendly gear: just a laptop, a small audio interface, and a couple of microphones. The goal was to keep things as raw and stripped-down as possible, avoiding heavy production and sticking solely to acoustic instruments. The central theme running through all the tracks is the loss of loved ones and the vulnerability that surfaces during moments of despair. These songs become a space where emotions are allowed to come through honestly, leaving the door open for healing. The tracklist also includes a cover of a Local Natives song—one of my favorite bands. Coincidentally, or maybe not, the song touches on the same subject, whether metaphorically or literally: the passing of seasons, even when we wish they wouldn’t. A special thanks goes to Giuseppe Bellotta for his beautiful violin, and to Gianluca Plomitallo for his evocative piano parts. Their contributions brought warmth and depth to these songs in a way I couldn’t have achieved alone. Endless gratitude to Marco Normando for the EP artwork and for being a constant, essential presence in my creative process. His vision and support have shaped this project more than words can say. Questo EP è stato interamente scritto, registrato, mixato e masterizzato in casa da Giobbe, utilizzando strumentazione poco costosa: solo un laptop, una piccola scheda audio e un paio di microfoni. L’obiettivo era mantenere tutto il più grezzo e diretto possibile, evitando una produzione troppo elaborata e affidandosi unicamente a strumenti acustici. Il tema centrale che attraversa tutti i brani è la perdita delle persone care e la vulnerabilità che emerge nei momenti di sconforto. Queste canzoni diventano uno spazio dove le emozioni possono fluire in modo sincero, lasciando aperta la porta al processo di guarigione. La tracklist include anche una cover di un brano dei Local Natives, una delle mie band preferite. Non a caso, o forse sì, la canzone affronta lo stesso tema, che sia in senso metaforico o letterale: il passare delle stagioni, anche quando vorremmo che non finissero mai. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Giuseppe Bellotta per il suo meraviglioso violino e a Gianluca Plomitallo per i suoi piani evocativi. I loro contributi hanno aggiunto calore e profondità a questi brani in un modo che da solo non avrei potuto ottenere. Un ringraziamento infinito a Marco Normando per l’artwork dell’EP e per essere una presenza costante e fondamentale nel mio processo creativo. La sua visione e il suo supporto hanno dato forma a questo progetto più di quanto le parole possano esprimere.
