I GUNASH nascono a 50 Km da Torino nel 2003 da un’ idea del cantante e chitarrista Ivano L. Zorgniotti alias “Zor” e del batterista Danilo Abaldo alias “Pannico”.
Dapprima come cover band dal nome e dall’ organico diversi, con cui svolgono un periodo d' intensa attività Live, ed in seguito un po’ alla volta si orientano su di un Rock Alternativo che risente d’ influenze punk, metal, grunge, stoner e prog (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Faith No More, Foo Fighters, Qotsa, Porcupine Tree, etc…).
Alla fine del 2005 pubblicano un disco omonimo per l’ etichetta New LM Records (Crotalo Edizioni Musicali) di Ravenna.
Nel 2008, il bassista Mauro Ippolito alias “Marlo” si unisce alla band, fissando così l’attuale line-up, alla quale, occasionalmente, prende parte il violoncellista Marco Allocco, musicista di provata esperienza che ha fatto parte dell’ orchestra di Pavarotti in diverse edizioni del Pavarotti & Friends.
Nel 2012 i Gunash entrano nuovamente in Studio per la registrazione del nuovo lavoro discografico, intitolato "Same Old Nightmare", un concept album composto da 12 brani originali.
Il disco ha ricevuto la straordinaria partecipazione del famoso musicista americano RAMI JAFFEE, tastierista dei Foo Fighters e The Wallflowers (di cui membro fondatore con Jacob Dylan) e vincitore di 9 Grammy Awards con diversi progetti discografici.
Rami Jaffe ha registrato per il disco dei Gunash nei suoi fantastici Fonogenic Studios di Los Angeles ed il sound del suo Hammond B3 ha contribuito a colorare l’album dei Gunash.
Nel 2014 l’ album “Same Old Nightmare” è stato pubblicato e distribuito dalla prestigiosa Etichetta Indipendente italiana Go Down Records, con l’ uscita di numerose recensioni, passaggi ed interviste radio ed apprezzamenti a livello nazionale ed internazionale.
In seguito parte il Tour promozionale “Same Old Nightmare Tour”, durante il quale i Gunash partecipano anche all’ “Home Festival” di Treviso, insieme ad artisti di fama internazionale.
Nel 2015 i Gunash continuano il “Same Old Nightmare Tour” con diversi concerti in Italia, Spagna e Stati Uniti, tra i quali da menzionare il concerto come headliner al leggendario Whisky a Go Go di Los Angeles.
Durante il Tour Americano i Gunash registrano 3 singoli per il terzo album con la partecipazione di Rami Jaffee, presso i Fonogenic Studios di Los Angeles.
Nell’ Agosto 2016 i Gunash pubblicano con Go Down Records l’ EP “SuperHeroes In Town”, che contiene i 3 singoli registrati a Los Angeles, presso i Fonogenic Studios di Rami Jaffee e Ran Pink, a cui seguono dei concerti estivi dei Gunash con Rami.
Nel 2016 la Band termina le registrazioni del terzo album “Great Expectations” entrando al Go Down Studio di Savignano sul Rubicone (FC) con Rami Jaffee come tastierista, ma questa volta anche in qualità di Produttore Artistico.
Intanto, dopo mesi di lavoro e con il coinvolgimento di piu’ di 60 comparse, la Band e Rami Jaffee realizzano con la casa di produzioni video Babylon Film il Videclip Ufficiale del singolo “Death Comes”, uscito in anteprima internazionale il 20 Febbraio 2017.
Il terzo album per Go Down Records è uscito ad Aprile 2017 in formato CD, Vinile e digitale. Da Aprile 2017 i Gunash partono con il “Great Expectations Tour”, con la prima data di apertura e Release Party nella storica sala concerti del Bloom di Mezzago (MB).
Il nome della band è un gioco di parole tra Ganesh (la divinità indiana con testa d’ elefante, dio della sapienza e protettore delle lettere e delle arti), Gunas, ossia le quattro fasi della materia in trasformazione dell’ alchimia indiana e la fusione delle parole inglesi Gun (pistola) e Ash (cenere); in definitiva, un misto di spiritualità ed essoterismo con la tetra contraddizione dei due termini anglosassoni, come a voler dimostrare che ogni concetto racchiude in sé il proprio opposto.

Zorgniotti alias “Zor” and drummer/percussionist Danilo Abaldo alias “Pannico” as a cover band with different name and staff, little by little it tended towards an Alternative Rock influenced by punk, metal, grunge, stoner and prog (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Faith No More, Foo Fighters, Qotsa, Porcupine Tree, etc…).
At the end of 2005, Gunash published an homonymous album for the Italian Label New LM Records (Crotalo Edizioni Musicali) from Ravenna, which is followed by an activity of Live concerts and composing new original songs.
Since 2008 the line up has been consisted of singer/guitarist Ivano L. Zorgniotti alias “Zor”, who busies himself with figurative art too, of solid bassist Mauro Ippolito alias “Marlo” and of drummer/percussionist Danilo Abaldo alias “Pannico”. Occasionally, violoncellist Marco Allocco, experienced musician who played in the Pavarotti’s Orchestra, joins it.
In 2012 Gunash come again in Studio for the production of the second album, titled
"Same Old Nightmare", a concept album with 12 original songs and with the extraordinary contribution of the American musician RAMI JAFFEE, keyboardist of Foo Fighters, founder with Jacob Dylan of The Wallflowers and involved in recording projects winners of several Grammy Awards.
Rami recorded at his Fonogenic Studio in Los Angeles and his colorful Hammond B3 has enriched the sound of Gunash.
In 2014 the album "Same Old Nightmare" is published and distributed by the prestigious independent Record Label Go Down Records and then the Gunash begin the promotional tour "Same Old Nightmare Tour," during which the Gunash also participate at the “Home Festival” in Treviso, along with international artists in the line-up.

In 2015 Gunash continue "Same Old Nightmare Tour" with several concerts in Italy, Spain and the United States, and a mention for the concert like headliner at the legendary Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles.
During the American Tour Gunash record 3 singles for the third album with the featuring of Rami Jaffee, at the Fonogenic Studios in Los Angeles.
In 2016 the band finished the recording of the third album "Great Expectations" at the Go Down Studio in Savignano sul Rubicone (FC) with Rami Jaffee like keyboardist, but also like Artistic Producer.
The third album is released for Go Down Records the 1st April 2017.
During the August 2016 Gunash published with Go Down Records the EP "SuperHeroes In Town", which contains the 3 singles recorded in Los Angeles, at the Fonogenic Studios of Rami Jaffee and Ran Pink, then Gunash and Rami played some concerts in Italy.
Meanwhile, after months of work and with the involvement of more than 60 people, the Band and Rami Jaffee realised, with the video productions label Babylon Film, The Official videoclip of the single "Death Comes". The new videoclip is released in International Premiere the 20th February 2017.

From April 2017 the Gunash launches with the "Great Expectations Tour", with the first release date and Release Party in the historical Mezzago (MB) Bloom Concert Hall.
The band’s name is a pun between Ganesh (the Indian divinity with elephant head, god of knowledge and patron of letters and arts), Gunas, that are the four phases of the transforming matter for the Indian Alchemy and the fusion of the English words Gun and Ash; after all, a mix of spirituality and esotericism with the gloomy contradiction given by the two Anglo-Saxon terms, as to intend to show that every concept implies its opposite.
