"Oniria" is the debut album by Physalia, a young singer-songwriter and pianist born in 1998 from Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. The album is a deep dive into the subconscious that guides the listener through a world made of dreams to decipher and relive through sound.
Her music is built on a minimal instrumental setup: an old upright piano, prepared percussion, objects, synthesizers and a strong cinematic approach to sound. With delicate yet powerful intensity, Physalia’s voice narrates vivid and enigmatic dreams, the kind that linger even after waking, like a musical directed by David Lynch, blending songwriting, chamber pop, contemporary music and experimentation, with echoes of Fiona Apple and PJ Harvey’s White Chalk.
"The images in my dreams have a vibrant power that imprints itself in my memory with striking clarity. These visions are the places I feel I come from, my inner landscapes, the ones where I lay my roots." (Physalia)
