In “Trust in me” ho voluto cogliere in una fotografia quello che di solito fatichiamo a sentire nelle canzoni, ovvero la parte bella di una storia d’amore. Scrivo e canto della felicità che si prova quando ci sono la fiducia, il sostegno e il coraggio che solo il partner giusto ti può dare. E in nome di quella gioia invoco a mia volta la fiducia del mio compagno, affinché fidandosi di me, possa continuare a farmi sentire così. L'ispirazione nasce da un brano degli anni 30 intitolato proprio “Trust In Me”, nella versione interpretata da una delle mie “muse”, Etta James, un ascolto che tutt'oggi mi trasmette un mare di emozioni.
“Trust in me” vuole essere anche un messaggio di fiducia verso l’amore di coppia: anche se in questo periodo sembra tutto difficile e ci sembra di non avere tanto da condividere, chi ha la fortuna di vivere una bella relazione ha il dovere di tenersi stretta questa incredibile risorsa, che se ben nutrita riesce a renderci forti e pieni di buone energie anche di fronte alle più grandi difficoltà.
