Lyrics

WINDWARD

A ray of light on the water
seems to break the horizon.
Like in a frozen picture in the early morning
comes the dawn on a dying night.

The icy sun rises from a silver sea
flapping sails and seagulls cry.
No cloud on the horizon
fresh breeze, salt on my skin

Windward boats sail on the sea
gliding on the lapping water,
driven on by the wind
towards the horizon, till the light.

Sailing alone on the silent sea
The shore behind, already far
I left the island this morning
Tonight I'm looking for another

Windward boats, ghosts on the sea
gliding on the lapping water,
driven on by the wind
towards the horizon, till the light.

We sail in silence on the endless sea
The shore behind is far away now
We left the island one morning
longing someday to find another

Windward ghosts sail on the sea
gliding on the lapping water,
driven on by the wind
towards the horizon, till the light.

THE TURN

It came so soon
I new it'd be sooner or later
last time was a lifetime ago
Like a love at first sight
exploding from within me
uplifting everything above

Feel I can climb
reach out to the sky
then fly high
moving faster than the speed of light

Having a good flight
Nothing is wrong
Having a long ride alone

Like a stone in a storm
feels like a happy fever
like a road that rocks and rolls
Getting stronger and stronger
full of an enormous power
blowing up like a bomb

Feel I can climb
toward the light
feel I am going blind
as I catch the rays and the energy

Having a good flight
Nothing is wrong
Having a long ride alone

Wasting no more time
and shout out my song
and scream my love pride along

I got no doubts,
I can say it loud,
from a warm south
blows a breeze to eternity

Having a good flight
Nothing is wrong
Having a long ride alone

Wasting no more time
and shout out my song
and scream my love pride aloud

I’m seeing a new light
From the Lord up above
I wanna think nothing at all

FIELDS OF INNOCENCE

Fields of Innocence
take shelter in my dreams
and all our fences
fade to transparency
In the Fields of Innocence
there may be space for us all

Neglected relationships
on the brink of insanity
There’s a never-ending line
waiting for Kharon’s ferry to the other bank
so hard to return
to the Fields of Innocence.

In the wild forest of love
hate often hides
It should be a flowery garden
where in childhood times we used to run
under clear blue skies,
on the Fields of innocence.

LONE RIDER

The Rider, son of the dawn,
like a small black dot in the light.
He came from east on his wild black horse
suddenly appeared in a fading night

The sun rose up on the sleeping town
thousand faces opened up their eyes
every man an expression
everyone a story in the morning light

Lone Rider they don't want your life
They don't need your liberty
Lone Rider they don't know your name
They're so blind ‘n’ can't see your face
No Rider they don't want your time
They don't want your time at all

The sun rose up hot and merciless
the man and the horse on the top of the hill
looking down at the town, down at the crowd
under midday sun, people burning

Lonely men living much too tight
packed together and swarming,
lonesome men standing side by side
strangers amidst strangers like him

Lone Rider they don't want your life
They don't need your liberty
Lone Rider they don't know your name
They're so blind ‘n’ can't see your face
No Rider they don't want your time
They don't want your time at all

The sun took rest deep down in the west
A new day lost under a purple sky
the man on the horse, high on the hill
like a small black patch fading in the light

when night laid rule on the swarming crowd
he rode to the west towards the sun.
Behind the hill the sprawling crowd
was only a murmur in the dark
only a murmur in the dark
only a murmur in the dark

Lone Rider they don't want your life
They don't need your liberty
Lone Rider they don't know your name
They're so blind ‘n’ can't see your face
No Rider they don't want your time
They don't want your time at all

THE SWEETEST BLUES

When I woke up this morning, my morning had turned into afternoon
When I woke up this morning, tangled thoughts in my head
When I woke up this morning, found the sweetest blues I ever had

Lying in my bed, someone else, not the ghosts I’ve seen before
Sleeping next to me was the shadow of a dream
lying in my bed the sweetest blues I ever had

The comfort of the red wine warming up my dreams tonight
The shadow of an angel breaths and whispers in my mind
I’ve got her perfume in my head
the sweetest blues I ever had

I got up from my bed and looked beyond the dirty grime upon my window
I got up from my bed to a sick and gloomy day
I got up from my bed and closed the door behind my self

I'm walking down the road nobody knows my name
I'm walking on my own, nobody knows who I am
I’ve got her perfume in my head
The sweetest blues I ever had

Tangled thoughts strewn through my head
Sleeping next to me, just a shadow of a dream
I got up from my bed and slammed the door behind my self

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME

There’s a road to follow
and thousands to forget
The certain sorrow
that you’ll never understand
but if you carry on
you’ll find your way
Whatever people say
is all the same

Don’t change your mind
go ahead and fight
The only right way is the way you feel
Don’t waste your time

The train on the railroad
has an only way to go
and time never waits for you
don’t you wait for someone else
Sometimes your best friends
can be so untrue
Straight on your way
all you need is you

Don’t change your mind
go ahead and fight
The only right way is just the way you feel
Don’t waste your time

There's a boat on the ocean
struggling with the wind
sailing far from the mainland
sliding on the waves
Sometimes the best way
is to sail upwind
fly on again
and unfurl your wings

Don’t change your mind
go ahead and fly
The only right way is the way you feel
Don’t waste your time

WALK BY YOURSELF

Stop talking about it
Stop thinking about the past
Throw away those shadows and save the best

Erase your ghosts
and never think of things you’ve never done
maybe something new has just begun

Try to forget now
Don't let the rain fall on your face
Try to rise again with your own strength
and you will learn to stand up by yourself

Stop dreaming about it
stop living on memories
throw away your chains and be free again

If those days are gone
fallen down to hell, like heavy stones
maybe something new has just begun

Drop your regrets now
let the wind blow on your face
Try to rise again with your own strength
And you will learn to walk by yourself

Rise and forget now
you see that things are not the same anymore
Now you can break free again
and you'll begin to run on your own

Move ahead now
let the sun shine on your face
try to rise again with your own strength
and you will learn to walk by yourself

ANOTHER TOMORROW

Our time has come
few words left to say
who would have thought
It’d last such a long time?
I see no more glimmers of light
nor can I dream a better tomorrow

The time has come
nothing to say
don't look at me
You'd better go away from here
I don't need someone to talk to
For us there’s no other tomorrow

and please don't tell me you love me
the love you name is gone a long ago
so please don't promise you’ll change me
the times you dream are now long gone

a day will come
though no one can tell
you'll think of me
and you’ll see that I was right
Then you'll see your life in a new light
and maybe you'll dream another tomorrow

So please stop saying you love me
the love you name is gone a long time ago
no, please, don’t promise that you’ll save us
the days you seek are long time gone

the venom that you're throwing at me, tonight
is just the same old poison you were tasting years ago

So please stop saying you love me
the love you name is gone a long time ago
please stop crying, you’re killing me
the one you’re looking for is not me

DOWN ON ME

I’m standing by my window,
staring at the cars roll by.
Cars run fast,
fading like these days.
Sometimes they seem to slip over me

I think it’s time to go now,
leaving everything behind.
I think it’s time for me
to pass over these days.
No, I can’t let them tumble down on me

And while I step out to go, I stop for a while
longing for the moonlight
and I gaze at the street that fades in the dark,
and I can feel the rain drops pouring down on me.

It’s raining through my hair and on my skin,
as I roam in the streets in the still of the night
and I let the rain pour down on me

WINTER LADY

Winter Lady save my body
Winter Lady save my soul
I got lost in all this darkness
Please don’t leave me all alone

Yesterday I lost my last chance
Yesterday I fell away
Yes I left home late last night
Will I have the strength to fight?

Lady please come and find me
at the bottom of this pit
Find my soul chained and breathless
Find me and tell me I’ll be free

Find my Freedom, find my Fire
Find the Key and set me free
Give me a place to rest my bones
Lady please don’t leave me alone

I’m travelling I’m wandering
From the Forest to the Sea
I have no voice left for screaming
I’m falling on my knees

Winter Lady I need the Morning
as the Morning needs the Sun
The Sun doesn’t need anybody
The Sun needs no one

Left my friends back at the harbor
but the Wind told me to leave
It was time to sail away
time to find a place to pray

Winter Lady save my body
Winter Lady save my soul
I got lost in all this darkness
Please don’t leave me alone
