Summertime 2018. During a random DIY festival on the shores of Garda Lake two friends came up with the impelling idea of forming a new band that could include both the adolescent uneasiness of being almost 40 and having the Marked Men as a way of life.
Months later they became a trio, meeting often in enthusiastic rehearsals, soaked in cheap beer and mould.
In less than one year they uncorked something like 40 songs, helped first by a Stooges addicted dancer and then by a Bike Polo champion, both mentioned as "the four-strings dude".
Spring 2021: the first gig pops up. Our guys stormed twice a nice lodge shining at 1900 meters on the sea level, reached after a demanding route on a overpacked and wrecked truck. It's a long way to the top, they said, huh?
The band tried to compress its unreasonable mix of enthusiasm and despair into the 5 songs shaping its first EP, ‘Number One To No One’, and then again cutting 6 more tracks, thrown into ‘Bang! Wrong Again’.

As an evidence of their incapability of behaving properly, in April 2023 they decided to converge the two EPs into a single LP: a sort of self-split, sporting one different cover for each side - designed and painted by the marvelous Irene Palladini (Punk Rock Raduno).
By now, they've reached 60 gigs and counting, given or taken a few - despite a global pandemic going on. During their live set, the four pals detonate their love for punk rock, rock'n'roll, garage, pop punk, melody, grit, dejection, losers, inadequacy, pubs and repented dawns, without hiding a sincere emotional hint in search of redemption.

Yes, you can do both: to dance and to cry. Less machos, more nachos. Ok, well, nachos are totally out of topic here but hey: they're good, cheap and don't piss the writer off, ok?

While HEARTS APART is a very young project, its members are very well known veterans from the italian punk scene, coming from bands such as Miss Chain & The Broken Heels, Argetti, Il Buio and Phill Reynolds.

HEARTS APART received massive support from the likes of KEXP, Punknews.org, Studio Brussel, Amazing Radio, WFMU, Louderthanwar, Pinguin Radio and many more.

The songs of ‘Bang! Wrong Again’ are a 6 punk rock anthems, with a sonic palette that nuances from Against Me! to The Marked Men and Radioactivity, early The Hives, with Bruce Springsteen and Jay Reatard as ideal mentors.

'Bang! Wrong Again' will be released on vinyl and will be available for pre-orders on the band Bandcamp's page. The flipside will include their acclaimed debut EP 'Number One To No One'.
