Con Time’s Fingertips, gli Scraffs dipingono l'atmosfera gelida di una notte d’inverno dell'anima. È quel momento in cui torni a casa nel buio e ti rendi conto che il tempo e le persone ti stanno scivolando tra le dita, lasciandoti addosso solo il peso di tutte le parole che non hai mai detto.
Il brano vive di un contrasto doloroso: il desiderio di fermare le lancette o di tornare indietro — evocato da quell'immagine potente di chi "muove le mani all'indietro" come un segno e la cruda realtà di qualcuno che ti chiama ogni volta che provi a nasconderti, ma che non ha mai intenzione di restare davvero. È un gioco a nascondino emotivo, dove ci si ritrova persi a piangere canzoni dedicate alla propria giovinezza, fermi su quelle scale dove un addio è rimasto in sospeso.
