Dr. Foolgood

Da una parte il dottor Foolgood, dall’altra i suoi pazienti. Il primo crede di avere a che fare solo con cretini, i secondi si ritengono i protagonisti di una realtà in cui i loro problemi hanno la priorità su tutto. Questioni di cuore, di autostima e d’ipocrisia. Le canzoni dell’album sono dedicate a loro, a chi deve ascoltare e a chi vuole raccontare. I problemi dei pazienti sembrano anche a noi, come al dottor Foolgood, insulsi e banali, specie in confronto alle preoccupazioni ben maggiori che possono incombere sulle nostre vite. Ma è vero solo finché non siamo noi a sperimentarli. In fondo è facile fare il dottor Foolgood con i problemi degli altri, ma quando tocca a noi come la mettiamo?

Dr. Foolgood believes he only has to deal with idiots, while his patients consider themselves to be protagonists of a world in which their problems have priority over everything. We’re talking about love issues, self-esteem, hypocrisy: the songs are all dedicated to them and to the person who listens to them.
It seems to us that the patient’s problems seem to be lame and trivial, even more so if compared with bigger concerns that people sometimes experience. That, though, is true only when those problems eventually hit us.
It’s easy to be “the Dr. Foolgood” with other people’s problems, but what do we do when it’s our turn to deal with them?
