Biografia Love In Elevator

Line-up: Anna Carazzai (voce, chitarra), Federico Mellinato (basso), Andrea Volpato (batteria, synth).

Love in Elevator is an Italian rock band formed in 2004 in Venice, Italy. The band's line-
up includes founder Anna Carazzai (lead vocals, guitar), Federico Mellinato (bass guitar)
and Andrea Volpato (drums, percussions, synth, backing vocals).

Love in Elevator’s grunge-oriented style of dark, noise-rock music has evolved over the years, first with elements of post-punk in their debut EP Venoma (Jestrai Records, 2004) and first full-length album "Sue Me" (Jestrai Records, 2005) featuring Verdena (Universal) members Alberto and Luca Ferrari. In 2008, the band released a second full length raw grunge album, "Re-Pulsion" (Jestrai Records, 2008), produced by Giulio Ragno Favero of Il Teatro degli Orrori (La Tempesta, Universal) , with Franz Valente on drums. In the third full length "Il Giorno dell’Assenza" (Go Down Records, 2010) produced by Marco Fasolo of Jennifer Gentle (Sub Pop), the band experimented with psychedelic sounds and wrote the album entirely in their native Italian language.

On January 2017, the band released a 7” "Unlocked//Beyond Your Inner Sea" via Coward Records, which leaned into a more heavy art-rock, dream-pop direction. Love in Elevator toured across Europe, the UK, and extensively throughout Italy. They were selected as the official support band by post-punk, grunge and hard-core icons Shellac (USA), Mudhoney (USA), Meat Puppets (USA) and Refused (S) in their previous Italian tours. Love in Elevator was also featured in the line-up of some of Europe’s largest festivals: Rock in Idro (2005) (sharing the stage with Juliette Lewis and the Licks, Turbonegro, the Hives) and All Tomorrow’s Parties UK (2012) (with Neurosis, Mono, Kim Deal and many others).
